Wellbeing, dignity and respect

Our Values

At Northlands Care Home our core values are Wellbeing, Dignity and Respect and these influence everything we do. We provide a highly professional but personal service in a homely environment for all our residents which we deliver our care with patience, kindness and understanding.

Wellbeing   Dignity   Respect

Independence

Some of our residents have only modest care requirements whilst others require 24 hour nursing care. We always allow a resident wherever possible to make their own decisions and maintain as much independence as possible.

Individual Care

By using regularly updated care plans which are completed by the resident’s key worker and registered nurse along with the resident and family we ensure that we understand the resident’s needs and always treat them with respect.

Privacy

We always respect all individuals’ rights to privacy and all residents can have a key to their bedroom if they wish. Carers will always ask to enter a room and residents do not have to use communal areas of the home unless they wish to do so.

Choice

Residents have the choice to choose from a range of options such as which social activities to choose, where to sit, eat and who to socialise with.

Fulfilment

We will help each resident to realise their own aims and will always help them to achieve these goals in all aspects of daily living.

Kindness

Kindness is at the heart of everything we do and we try to make sure everyone is treated as we would want to be treated ourselves.

“I don’t think there are many homes as good as Northlands. I can’t express how glad I am that my dad spent his last months in an atmosphere off such loving kindness. You are in my thoughts every day with tanks and praise for all the goodness you shared with him and me. All the best.”

Daughter of Resident

“Thank you for your care and compassion in looking after dad over the years he lived at Northlands. The care provided was very much appreciated by all the family. It was comforting that dad’s final days were in a place he knew and with staff who cared.

Relatives of Resident

“Thank you so much. For your patience, love and kindness you show to my dad and all the residents. You are the best, and I really appreciate all that you do.
